I've always loved Elise. She's such an amazing character. And she works so well with Sonic. Kinda like with Sally, she's the calm to Sonic's energy; the one who calms him before he does something reckless. And in return, Sonic gives her energy, and shows her freedom. Gets her outta her comfort zone. They match really well.

Elise has been a personal totem for me ever since I was a kid.
Elise is soft-spoken and introverted, and Sonic is a free-spirited extravert, and I think that there is nothing wrong with them developing feelings for each other. Sonic just came into her life one day and made her smile, gave her confidence, told her not to overthink things and just run, and he made her finally shed the tears that she had been holding back for years. They are important to each other and will protect each other, and I do believe that they will remember and find their way back to one another, for they are soul mates.
